Shortly after the launch of the ASC Management Software OASIS, team of designers and developers at Mednet went back to their drawing boards. Their focus was to build additional tools to provide the industry with the first all inclusive ASC software that will not only include the common features of Scheduling, Billing, Inventory, Reporting, but a whole lot more. All tools built into one product, built by one company. They have been busy building the following products:

Physician & Patient Portal

 
Launched in early 2009, Physicians can now remotely log in and are able to view their schedule lineup, check their credentials, and view Reports. Additional enhancements are currently being developed and will be launched towards the end of 2010.

Included is an optional tool for Surgical Center patients to register and create a secure login, allowing them to view their account information including demographics and transactions. Patient’s can now submit a Patient Survey form to the Surgical Center. Patient pre-registration feature is also in development and will launched towards the end of 2010.

IPhone and ITouch App

To provide easy access and mobility to Surgical Center users, Mednet launched the IPhone web app at the end of 2009. Users of the full management software or the stand alone medical inventory management software MIRA can now use the features of this well designed app. Apple, through their ADC program has approved and acknowledged Mednet’s Iapp to high standards and placed Mednet’s Iapp profile on their website under the Productivity Web App section.

Document Management

In March of 2010, Mednet is launching an even more powerful Document Management system which will not only allow the Surgical Center staff to print, label, and barcode individual patient forms for patient charts with a click of a button, but then also take those completed charts and scan them back into each individual patient folders with another click of the button. It is going to be that simple!
 

EMR

Together with the Document Management system, Mednet is also launching their EMR tool by the end of March 2010. How is this EMR tool different from others in the market? This will be the first EMR product that is built specifically for the Surgical Center market. Mednet’s design team has kept the specific requirements of the Surgeons, the Anesthesiologist, and the clinical staff at the forefront during the design phase. It eliminates all the unnecessary features that are normally built for a Physician’s practice and can be inefficient if implemented in a Surgical Center environment.
 

EMR for IPad

In keeping with philosophy of providing the best ASC application and using the latest technology, Mednet continues to build tools for the Surgical Center market to improve efficiency. Proof is going to be in the soon to be released EMR built for the Apple IPad. This will be the industry’s most intuitive tool and is going to be well appreciated by the Physicians and the clinical staff for its ease of use and efficiency. Surgeons, Anesthesiologist, and the Clinical Staff will now be able to enter patient clinical information directly into the system, eliminating the use of paper forms. EMR will be multi-platform as the users of the surgical centers will now have the option to use it on the traditional Microsoft Windows based systems or use the latest Apple IPad. IPad EMR app will be available at the end of May 2010.
